Description

You will lead technical programs for the Advanced Optics division, driving projects from initiation through delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute overall program plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to meet technical and cost targets.
  • Drive progress through each stage, reconfirming value propositions and recommending progression or elimination to leadership.
  • Monitor changes in customer requirements and scope, assessing impact on strategy, risk, and resource needs.
  • Develop and manage business cases, including P&L implications, and identify commercial or technical levers to improve outcomes.
  • Oversee product testing, ensure manufacturing implementation meets requirements, and protect intellectual property.

Required Skills

  • 5-7+ years of proven experience executing technical programs.
  • BS in Engineering (Optical, Mechanical, or related) or Associate's Degree with significant relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, specifically MS Project, for scheduling and scope management.
  • Experience with SAP and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to lead technical teams in problem resolution and strategy execution.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate direction, risks, and purpose across organizational levels.
  • Ability to track and manage program spending, revenue, resources, and schedules.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Preferred Skills

  • MS degree or higher in optics.
  • Experience with Stage 3 to Stage 5 transfer to manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with innovation processes and working with S&T or research groups.
