Role Overview

In this role, you will partner closely with the Forward Deployed Engineering team to translate complex technical requirements into actionable project plans.

You will be responsible for more than tracking deadlines. You will actively identify risks, resolve dependencies across multi-cloud environments, and streamline workflows to help development teams perform effectively.

You will serve as the focal point for project health, providing the organization with the clarity and structure needed to deliver world-class data and AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Execution

Lead the planning and delivery of cross-functional programs.

Ensure projects stay on track across distributed engineering teams.

Translate complex technical requirements into actionable project plans.

Coordinate program activities across multiple engineering teams and functions.

2. Technical Integration

Develop a deep understanding of Databricks architecture.

Anticipate dependencies and technical bottlenecks between various platform components.

Partner with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and constraints.

Resolve technical dependencies across multi-cloud environments.

3. Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary bridge between engineering and business units.

Translate technical constraints into clear timelines and expectations for leadership.

Provide clarity and structure around program health, dependencies, risks, and delivery status.

Work closely with distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

4. Process Optimization

Implement and refine Agile or Kanban workflows.

Improve team velocity without introducing unnecessary friction.

Streamline workflows and delivery processes to help developers perform their best work.

Identify opportunities to improve program execution and operational efficiency.

5. Risk Mitigation

Proactively identify red flags in the development cycle.

Identify and manage program risks and dependencies.

Conduct root-cause analysis for blockers.

Drive resolution of issues and blockers through appropriate stakeholders.

Maintain visibility into overall project and program health.

Required Qualifications

Technical Background

Bachelor’s degree in:

Computer Science

Business

Engineering

Related field

Ability to engage in whiteboard discussions with senior engineers.

Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.

Domain Expertise

Familiarity with Big Data technologies, including:

Spark

SQL

Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure, including one or more of:

AWS

Azure

GCP

Familiarity with AI/ML workflows.

Understanding of Databricks architecture and platform components.

Experience

5+ years of experience in technical program/project management.

Preferably experience working with:

Big Data

Financial Services

Analytical & Program Management Skills

Proficiency in using data-driven tools to track metrics and report on program health.

Experience with:

Jira

Confluence

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to identify risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and blockers.

Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
