Description

You will manage the lifecycle of electromechanical modules and final products from inception to obsolescence.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain detailed project plans for engineering teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Map high-level requirements to development resources in collaboration with engineering managers.
  • Manage outsourcing activities with engineering service providers, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Communicate risks, priority changes, and status updates to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement of cross-functional processes within the engineering department.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in project management for engineering products.
  • Proven track record of leading project teams of 5-20 engineers, designers, and technicians.
  • System-level understanding of mechatronics projects, including hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI/D) and stage-gate methodologies.
  • Proficiency using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), ERP, and PLC processes.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Management (ECR/ECO/ECN).
  • Ability to interpret systems specifications, test specifications, datasheets, and technical reports.
  • Strong technical presentation skills for communicating with executive leadership.
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Project management certification such as PMI or PDMA.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
