You will manage the lifecycle of electromechanical modules and final products from inception to obsolescence.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed project plans for engineering teams to ensure on-time delivery.
- Map high-level requirements to development resources in collaboration with engineering managers.
- Manage outsourcing activities with engineering service providers, suppliers, and external partners.
- Communicate risks, priority changes, and status updates to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement of cross-functional processes within the engineering department.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in project management for engineering products.
- Proven track record of leading project teams of 5-20 engineers, designers, and technicians.
- System-level understanding of mechatronics projects, including hardware, firmware, and software.
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI/D) and stage-gate methodologies.
- Proficiency using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), ERP, and PLC processes.
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Management (ECR/ECO/ECN).
- Ability to interpret systems specifications, test specifications, datasheets, and technical reports.
- Strong technical presentation skills for communicating with executive leadership.
- Experience managing geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills
- Project management certification such as PMI or PDMA.
- Spanish language proficiency.
