Description

You will lead the design and development of a solution for extracting legacy MEDITECH data and loading it into SQL Server, while also defining the roadmap for a homegrown archival application.

Responsibilities

• Design and build tools to automate downloading legacy MEDITECH data and loading it into SQL Server.
• Establish table/field relationships and compare data across environments to ensure ≥ 99% accuracy.
• Validate data loads, matching record counts and financial totals across environments.
• Schema map unknown MEDITECH tables and structures, reducing manual data mapping effort.
• Integrate the archival solution with various healthcare platforms, ensuring cross-system compatibility.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with MEDITECH hospital application systems (end-user and backend configuration/support).
• Deep understanding of MEDITECH Data Model and MUMPS architecture.
• Proficiency in InterSystems IRIS, including Caché and IRIS versions.
• Expertise in handling global arrays and hierarchical key-value structures within MUMPS file types.
• Strong SQL Server skills for data loading, validation, and schema design.
• Experience with hierarchical databases (HDBMS) and relational databases (RDBMS).
• Familiarity with MEDITECH modules (e.g., ADM, ABS, MIS, OE/POM/OM, PCI/PCS/NUR).
• Experience with healthcare data identification, schema/field-level data mapping, transformation, and compliance.
• Ability to produce technical documentation covering workflows and schema mappings.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare interoperability standards.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, and jReports.
