Description

You will lead the design and development of a solution for extracting legacy MEDITECH data and loading it into SQL Server, while defining the roadmap for a homegrown archival application.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build tools to automate downloading legacy MEDITECH data and loading it into SQL Server.
• Establish table and field relationships, comparing data across environments to ensure at least 99% accuracy.
• Validate data loads by matching record counts and financial totals across environments.
• Map unknown MEDITECH tables and structures to reduce manual data mapping effort.
• Integrate the archival solution with various healthcare platforms to ensure cross-system compatibility.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with MEDITECH hospital application systems, including end-user and backend configuration and support.
• Deep understanding of the MEDITECH Data Model and MUMPS architecture.
• Proficiency in InterSystems IRIS, including Caché and IRIS versions.
• Expertise in handling global arrays and hierarchical key-value structures within MUMPS file types.
• Strong SQL Server skills for data loading, validation, and schema design.
• Experience with hierarchical databases (HDBMS) and relational databases (RDBMS).
• Familiarity with MEDITECH modules such as ADM, ABS, MIS, OE/POM/OM, and PCI/PCS/NUR.
• Experience with healthcare data identification, schema and field-level data mapping, transformation, and compliance.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare interoperability standards.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, and jReports.
