Description

Lead the design and rollout of complex, multi-region cloud applications while serving as the primary subject matter expert for development and infrastructure teams.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy multi-region cloud applications aligned with global security and scalability standards.
• Resolve critical design bottlenecks and perform rigorous reviews of design documents for production readiness.
• Define and enforce methodologies for disaster recovery, scalability, and security across the SDLC.
• Communicate technical roadmaps and validate architectural decisions with executive leadership.
• Size architectural efforts and guide project teams through complex implementation challenges.

Required Skills

• 10+ years in Software Engineering with 3+ years focused on Public Cloud Architecture (GCP or AWS).
• Expert-level proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and Angular, including asynchronous programming.
• Deep experience with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) using Kafka or Pub-Sub.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes (GKE/EKS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• BS/BE in Computer Science or equivalent technical field.
• Strong grasp of cloud-native patterns and security best practices (IAM, encryption).

Preferred Skills

• Professional certification in GCP (Cloud Architect) or AWS (Solutions Architect).
• 2+ years of experience with LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and agentic workflows.
• Experience integrating security early in the design phase and event-driven architectures reacting to GitHub webhooks.
