Description

Manage electronic reporting interoperability systems to facilitate patient and disease data exchange between medical and public health applications.

Responsibilities

• Onboard facilities for electronic case reporting and debug daily reconciliation issues.
• Build support for automatic processing of new data within electronic case reports and external systems.
• Coordinate with hospital personnel and epidemiologists to create application interfaces using HL7 V2, V3, and structured file formats.
• Develop and apply standards-based transforms and system application code to support health information exchange.
• Configure Orion Rhapsody platforms using JavaScript to facilitate electronic laboratory reporting.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of XML Transform experience, including Document Type Definitions and Schema.
• 3+ years of troubleshooting HL7 coding.
• 2+ years of data exchange interface engine experience.
• 3+ years of Orion Rhapsody experience.
• Proficiency in at least one industry standard vocabulary code set: SNOMED, LOINC, or ICD10.
• 2+ years of experience communicating technical concepts to healthcare professionals and IT personnel.
• Experience writing logic for health information systems.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of JavaScript experience.
• 3+ years of experience with ELR or eCR (electronic reporting of lab or case data to public health).
• 3+ years of experience with SNOMED, LOINC, or ICD10.
