Description

You will lead cloud migration, data architecture, and cleansing initiatives for the Modernization Project, focusing on the transition from DB2 to Azure. You will own data governance and modeling while mentoring the team.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of DB2 workloads to MS Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Architect and implement data cleansing and migration strategies using SQL Server and SSIS.
• Establish data governance frameworks and modeling standards.
• Mentor junior engineers on data engineering best practices and cloud transitions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering and solutions architecture.
• Deep expertise in SQL Server, SSIS, and DB2.
• Proven experience with MS Azure cloud services and migration.
• Strong background in data governance and data modeling.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring staff.
• Must be based in North Carolina or open to relocating immediately.

Preferred Skills

• Azure Certification.
