You will develop Advanced Planning Documents (APDs) and supporting documentation for the NC Medicaid Program.
Responsibilities
- Develop, collect, and compile data from business and technology teams to produce viable APDs and planning documents within required timelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers, legal teams, and key stakeholders to gather information and obtain final sign-off on APDs.
- Collaborate with Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) project teams and subject matter experts to translate project requirements into technical documentation.
- Review and provide feedback on NC FAST APDs and draft CMS submittal letters for accuracy and compliance.
- Facilitate APD review meetings and interface with executive management to provide concise project updates.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing, APD development, or RFP/RFI/grant writing.
- Experience with Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) or claims processing.
- Knowledge of eligibility and enrollment systems, including NC FAST.
- Background in HHS analytics or Health and Human Services programs.
- Ability to convert complex technical concepts into clear, concise written documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong project management skills, including managing scope, schedules, and quality assurance.
- Understanding of state, local, and county government regulations regarding contracts and eligibility policy.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience working within state government or the public sector.
