Description

You will manage and maintain z/OS environments in a 24x7x365 operational setting.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, customize, and maintain vendor software products following established standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal staff to manage patches, fix packs, and maintenance upgrades.
• Configure security rules using RACF and manage system interfaces for transaction services.
• Monitor system performance using specialized tools and tune software to optimize throughput.
• Analyze client-reported problems and implement corrective action plans.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems programming or core z/OS administration.
• Extensive experience with z/OS subsystems including CICS, IMS, and RACF.
• Proven track record in z/OS program product installation and administration.
• Experience managing IBM mainframe products such as MQ and WebSphere.
• Ability to perform software upgrades and patches during off-peak windows.
• Strong technical documentation skills for user guides and bulletins.
• Experience with storage management and third-party program products.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of distributed systems, middleware technologies, and basic networking.
