Description

You will analyze, modify, and test complex legacy program modules within a mainframe environment. You own the full lifecycle of changes, from requirement analysis and documentation to design, feasibility estimation, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document requirements for data and business processes.
• Design and coordinate changes to legacy modules to ensure compatibility with existing projects.
• Resolve highly complex problems involving financial processes and application logic.
• Estimate feasibility for program modifications and provide quality control for all deliverables.
• Document program and project deliverables according to assigned standards.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a programmer analyst in a corporate or government setting.
• Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, TSO, MVS, and JCL.
• 5+ years of experience exposing CICS and COBOL programs as web services via CICS Transaction Server (CTS) or CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG).
• Hands-on experience with ENDEVOR, CA Tools, SQL, DB2, and VSAM.
• Proven expertise in mainframe programming, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Experience with Secure Socket Layer (SSL).
• Strong analytical, planning, and scheduling skills.
• Ability to work within large, diverse project teams.
• Experience with enterprise-level application development across multiple business areas.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with State or county government systems.
