Description

You will design, implement, and manage large-scale networking solutions across Service Provider, WAN, Data Center, and Metro Ethernet environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade OS for Cisco ASR router suites, including physical installation in remote WAN POPs.
• Deploy and transition services during scheduled after-hours maintenance windows.
• Perform fault isolation, remediation, and Root Cause Analysis to resolve pervasive problems.
• Develop implementation plans and coordinate deployment projects with external agencies.
• Implement new service components following established change and release management processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Cisco ASR platforms (ASR 9902, 9903, 9904, and ASR 9000 Series nV technology).
• Deep expertise in routing protocols including OSPF, EBGP, IBGP, and BGP best practices.
• Hands-on experience with MPLS, VRFs, VRF-Lite, and Network Virtualization.
• Proficiency with Cisco operating systems: IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, and IOS-XR.
• Technical knowledge of L2/L3 technologies: Ether-channels, VLANs, L2TPVPN, and HSRP.
• Experience managing AAA services (TACACS+, Radius) and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
• Competency with network management tools: NetFlow V5/V9, IP SLA, SNMP V2/V3, NTP, DNS, DHCP, and QoS.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco Certifications: CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, or CCDE.
• ITIL Foundations Certification.
