Description

You will support the GIS Unit by architecting, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based Enterprise GIS systems within a hybrid environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage GIS solutions in Microsoft Azure, including provisioning virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates and Bicep for repeatable deployments.
• Monitor Azure-hosted systems using Azure Monitor and diagnostic tools to ensure reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security configurations and identity management using NCID and RBAC.
• Support the integration of Azure cloud services with on-premises systems and perform routine maintenance on GIS components.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Foundational understanding of Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and monitoring.
• Experience with ARM templates or Bicep for infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise in cloud or hybrid deployments.
• Proficiency in PowerShell or Azure CLI for scripting and automation.
• Knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and identity management.
• Understanding of cloud architecture, including resource groups, virtual networks, and subscription management.
• Experience with vulnerability mitigation, remediation, and network security protocols.
• Solid understanding of UML modeling and relational databases.

Preferred Skills

• Technical proficiency in GIS, Azure AD, and SAML.
