Description

You will manage and support mainframe hosting solutions in a 24x7x365 operational environment, owning the software lifecycle from installation to maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, customize, and maintain vendor software products using established naming conventions and standards.
• Transfer software from vendor media to systems and verify installations against vendor guidelines.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal staff to manage patches, fix packs, and maintenance upgrades to mitigate outages.
• Analyze technical problems reported by clients, collaborate with vendors on solutions, and implement corrective action plans.
• Attend professional seminars and classes to maintain technical proficiency.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of progressive programming experience, including 2 years of systems programming.
• Hands-on experience with z/OS operating systems and subsystems, including CICS, IMS, and RACF.
• Proficiency with z/OS program products such as MQ and WebSphere.
• Experience with z/OS systems administration and third-party program product installation.
• Knowledge of Mainframe Systems, Middleware, and Network Security.
• Experience with storage management and third-party program product administration.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of distributed systems and basic networking.
