Description

You will diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for customers, focusing on performance degradation and application stack components.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Java heap dumps and thread dumps to identify root causes of system failures.
• Diagnose performance degradation using explain plans and database tuning techniques.
• Troubleshoot web application stack issues and remote administration via SSH, SNMP, WMI, and PowerShell.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve defects and improve system stability.
• Maintain detailed documentation of issues and solutions within ITSM/ITIL frameworks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in technical support or engineering roles.
• Strong experience with relational databases, specifically MySQL and Oracle.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding Java object-oriented design and memory management.
• Advanced Unix/Linux administration and scripting skills (JavaScript, Python, or Perl).
• Experience analyzing Java heap and thread dumps.
• Working knowledge of web application components and TCP/IP networking.
• Understanding of Web Services, JDBC, and ODBC.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Splunk for log analysis and monitoring.
• Familiarity with ITSM, ITIL, and CMDB processes.
