Description

Provide technical support for storage, networking, and virtualization environments. Analyze system diagnostics to identify root causes and communicate findings clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Debug Linux systems using utilities such as systemtap, tcpdump, ftrace, strace, wireshark, gdb, and crash.
• Manage remote file access protocols including NFS and SMB (CIFS).
• Support storage-related concepts including virtualization and data protection.
• Resolve complex issues in distributed file systems and CentOS Linux environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in technical support or systems administration.
• Solid Linux administration experience across all working components.
• Proficiency with Linux debugging tools: systemtap, tcpdump, ftrace, strace, wireshark, gdb, and crash.
• Hands-on experience with storage and data protection tools: VMware, CommVault, Symantec, EMC, or NetApp.
• Working knowledge of storage, networking, and virtualization environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.

Preferred Skills

• Background in performance analysis and platform architecture.
• Ability to debug complex, serialized, multi-threaded code.
