Description

Provide technical support for storage, networking, and virtualization environments. Debug Linux systems and resolve complex issues in distributed file systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Debug Linux systems using systemtap, tcpdump, ftrace, strace, wireshark, gdb, and crash.
• Analyze system diagnostics to identify root causes and communicate findings clearly.
• Manage remote file access protocols including NFS and SMB (CIFS).
• Resolve complex issues in CentOS Linux environments and virtualization platforms.
• Support storage concepts including data protection and distributed file systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in technical support or systems administration.
• Solid Linux administration experience across all working components.
• Proficiency with Linux debugging tools: systemtap, tcpdump, ftrace, strace, wireshark, gdb, and crash.
• Hands-on experience with storage and data protection tools: VMware, CommVault, Symantec, EMC, or NetApp.
• Working knowledge of storage, networking, and virtualization environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.

Preferred Skills

• Background in performance analysis and platform architecture.
• Ability to debug complex, serialized, multi-threaded code.
