Description

You will provide high-level desktop support and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve PC hardware break-fix issues, network connectivity, and third-party application questions.
  • Manage TCP/IP connectivity, IP set-ups, and server functions related to desktop resolution.
  • Evaluate system potential by testing program compatibility and studying workload and capacity for expansions.
  • Assist Project Managers with destination moves and hardware/software upgrades, including technology evaluations and UAT.
  • Document hardware and software changes, revisions, and operating instructions for users.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to resolve concerns regarding proprietary applications.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in technical support or systems troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network design.
  • Proven ability in software testing and software maintenance.
  • Expertise in problem solving and process improvement.
  • Ability to present technical information clearly to users and stakeholders.
  • Experience with hardware/component factory acceptance testing.
  • Competency in loading software and establishing hardware connections via command line.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with load balancing, scalability, and performance tuning for networks and databases.
  • Background in vendor relationship management.

Education
