Description

Install, inspect, and troubleshoot structured copper and fiber cabling in data center environments. Manage physical infrastructure to support enterprise IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot structured cabling, including fiber, Cat5, and Cat6.
• Label and patch cables to switches, facilitating handoff to customers.
• Perform physical installation of network racks, server racks, and patch panels.
• Coordinate daily material delivery and movement of enterprise IT equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory and documentation for all infrastructure components.

Required Skills

• 5+ years experience in structured cabling installation and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with fiber, Cat5, and Cat6 cabling standards.
• Ability to physically install, move, and troubleshoot servers and network devices.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware, switches, and cable management best practices.
• Comfortable working on ladders, lifting over 40 pounds, and standing all day.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (not required).
