Description

You will produce and maintain technical documentation for vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create service removal, replacement, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Document diagnostics, troubleshooting, and wiring harness information.
• Write software programming and post-repair bring-up documentation.
• Develop fleet upgrade procedures, technical service bulletins, and owner's manuals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy and safety compliance.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as an automotive repair or diagnostic technician.
• 2+ years of experience writing technical documentation in the automotive field.
• Experience with topic-based writing concepts and markup languages like HTML or XML.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and safety acumen.
• Ability to manage multiple workloads to meet project deadlines.
• HTML, XML, Jira, Github, Confluence, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or Technical Writing.
• 5+ years of experience as an automotive repair or diagnostic technician.
• Automotive OEM service manual authoring experience.
