You translate complex IT and security information into accessible content for technical, security, and agency leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication strategies for IT initiatives and security vulnerabilities.
• Craft clear internal communications, including emails, templates, newsletters, intranet articles, and presentations.
• Create and distribute timely alerts regarding security vulnerabilities to keep staff informed of potential risks.
• Write, edit, and package technical documents such as proposals, reports, manuals, and brochures.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, requirements analysis, business process models, and architecture diagrams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing or communications.
• Strong understanding of IT concepts and security vulnerabilities.
• Proven ability to translate technical jargon and security terminology for non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Visio.
• Demonstrated experience in requirements analysis and business process modeling.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and research skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work within established guidelines under immediate supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in cybersecurity communications.
• Proficiency with software team collaboration environments like IBM Rational Jazz or Microsoft Team Architect.
