Description

You will produce clear, concise documentation for web applications and support technical writing initiatives across the Office of IT.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Research application functionality and user tasks to write detailed instructions, procedures, and business context information.
• Create and update documentation including online help, user manuals, training manuals, and quick reference guides using standard templates.
• Remediate 508/accessibility issues within existing help systems.
• Support the TSDS Upgrade by updating reports documentation and creating new application help.
• Assist in developing organizational technical writing policies, procedures, and tools.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing.
• Proficiency with authoring tools, specifically RoboHelp, for designing online help and user guides.
• Experience with screen capture and graphics tools for web applications.
• Proven ability to use software change management tools.
• Expertise in preparing documentation for web-based systems.
• Strong analytical skills to decompose high-level information and reconcile conflicting data from multiple sources.
• Ability to work within software development life cycles (SDLC) in a team environment.
• Experience with TSDS.

Preferred Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among stakeholders.
• Participation in peer reviews, inspections, and occasional writing-related training sessions.
