Description

You will author and maintain critical flight documentation using engineering flight test data.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise flight documents including Airplane Flight Manuals, Pilot’s Abbreviated Checklists, Operating Manuals, Pilot’s Operating Handbooks, and Technical Orders.
• Conduct self and peer quality checks on work packages to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with engineers, core teams, and customer service representatives to validate document procedures.
• Follow and improve established documentation procedures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing or a related field.
• Proficiency with SGML/XML, Arbortext, or Adobe FrameMaker.
• Ability to research, analyze, and interpret complex engineering and technical source data.
• Mechanical aptitude with practical knowledge of aircraft systems and operations.
• Experience authoring Airplane Flight Manuals and Operating Manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Degree in an aviation-related area or equivalent experience authoring technical documents.

Preferred Skills

• Pilot’s license or A&P license.
• Military aviation experience specifically working with Technical Orders.
