You document and implement operational work instructions for industrial railcar cleaning and waste disposal projects.
Responsibilities
Develop chemical cleaning procedures in coordination with the Chemistry team to ensure safety and environmental performance.
Write operational work instructions by collaborating with engineers, operational supervisors, and Rail and Industrial Specialty teams.
Work onsite at terminals to review cleaning procedures with technicians and oversee safety protocols, including confined space entry and fall protection.
Coordinate with environmental regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with upgraded guidelines.
Manage chemical and chemical waste processes in conjunction with the Environmental Team.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in technical writing or a related industrial role.
Proven ability to write, understand, and implement chemical cleaning procedures.
Practical knowledge of environmental laws and legislation.
Experience managing chemical waste and overseeing safety procedures like fall protection and confined space entry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Google Suite.
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related scientific/technical field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all company levels.
Preferred Skills
Experience with EHS technical writing.
Familiarity with chemical procedures documentation.
