Description

You will own mainframe support and system optimization for Capital Markets environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate application outages with development, database, and infrastructure teams to ensure resolution within SLAs.
• Manage stakeholder communications regarding impact and resolution progress during incidents.
• Optimize system performance by analyzing SQL run times using the STROBE tool.
• Manage application releases and changes to ensure defect-free execution and minimal user impact.
• Create proactive system monitors and alerts using AppDynamics and automated Unix/SQL scripts.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of Mainframe support experience.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, REXX, and SQL.
• Experience with DB2 and VSAM.
• Hands-on Unix scripting.
• Experience using STROBE for code analysis and SQL optimization.
• Experience with AppDynamics, Splunk, or similar monitoring and analytics tools.
• Proficiency with ITSM tools like ServiceNow and change management tools such as Endeavor or Changeman.
• Experience with job scheduling and monitoring tools including Autosys, BatchMon, or TWS.
• Familiarity with z/OS, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to use debugging tools such as Xpeditor or Debugger.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Python or Visual Basic.
• Experience with Fidessa Trading Workstation or Vantage One.
