Description

You will undergo a 15-month technical training program focused on wallboard science and testing fundamentals. You will perform technical and laboratory services independently to provide accurate results. You will assist with lab support, including moving and handling gypsum wallboard panels and construction materials. You will support facility operations through lab clean-up, phone coverage, and meeting preparation. You will collaborate with managers to meet project goals, requirements, and timelines. You will maintain an orderly and safe workplace in accordance with safety commitments.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent technical and laboratory services to deliver accurate test results.
• Assist with lab support tasks, including moving gypsum wallboard panels and construction materials.
• Support facility operations by managing lab clean-up, phone coverage, and meeting preparation.
• Collaborate with managers to align with project goals, requirements, and timelines.
• Maintain a safe and orderly workplace environment adhering to safety protocols.

Required Skills

• Associate's degree in Chemistry, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Systems Engineering, Engineering Technology, or an Applied Sciences program.
• 0-2 years of experience in a testing laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, including panels and buckets, periodically.
• Willingness to work in a dusty environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience or knowledge in Manufacturing, Applied Sciences, or Reliability Engineering.
