Description

You will lead the transition of webshops into a central microservices-based platform within an agile DevOps team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individual microservices to build a stable API layer for consuming applications.
• Integrate new services securely into the existing organizational system landscape and backend systems.
• Define coding conventions and development guidelines to maintain code quality and high test coverage.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and test frameworks to automate development and deployment processes.
• Ensure the smooth operation and stability of the microservices architecture.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and the Spring framework.
• Extensive experience in API development and microservices architecture.
• Proven ability working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies.
• Experience with containerization and cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Competency with relational or NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Postgres.
• Experience with streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing and running microservices in cloud environments.
• Basic experience monitoring services in hybrid cloud environments using tools like DataDog.
