Description

You guide associates through discovery, modeling, visualization, and publishing best practices so they can build and own their own reports and dashboards. You blend strong Power BI and Excel skills with a talent for teaching and translating business questions into clear analytical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate discovery sessions, product demos, consultations, and interactive training on Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Platform, and other technology products.
• Provide instruction on Power BI Desktop and Service, covering publish/share patterns, compliance expectations, and governance-friendly practices.
• Coach associates on analytical problem framing, metric definition, and selecting appropriate visual storytelling approaches.
• Enable strong data modeling fundamentals, including star schema concepts, relationships, grain, and reusable semantic models.
• Stay current on Microsoft 365 and Power Platform feature updates, translating changes into practical guidance for associates.

Required Skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, modern formulas (e.g., XLOOKUP), data cleansing, and Power Query.
• Strong Power BI experience building and explaining end-to-end solutions: ingest, transform, model, DAX measures, report design, and publish/share.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (relationships, star schema, dimensional thinking, grain) and their impact on report performance.
• Demonstrated data analysis capability: defining KPIs, validating results, and communicating insights to non-technical audiences.
• Proven experience teaching, coaching, or enabling others with a focus on skill transfer.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to lead outcomes-focused sessions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; able to diagnose modeling, DAX, or report design issues.
• Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 core tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Power BI governance (workspaces, apps, refresh strategies, Row-Level Security) and enterprise guardrails.
• Familiarity with the broader Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) and citizen-built solutions.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data extraction, validation, and collaboration with data owners.
