Description

You will enable data analysis capabilities across Power BI and related tools by instructing teams on data modeling, visualization, and governance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Instruct individuals and groups on Power BI Desktop and Service, covering publish, share, compliance, and governance practices.
• Coach associates on framing analytical problems, defining metrics, and selecting appropriate visualization techniques.
• Enable strong data modeling fundamentals, including star schema, relationships, grain, and reusable semantic models.
• Troubleshoot and guide users through modeling, DAX, or report design issues to resolution.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a technical or coaching role.
• Advanced Excel skills: PivotTables, modern formulas (e.g., XLOOKUP), data cleansing, and Power Query.
• Strong end-to-end Power BI experience: ingest, transform, model, DAX, report design, and publishing.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (relationships, star schema, dimensional thinking, grain).
• Demonstrated ability to define KPIs, validate results, and communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
• Proven experience teaching or mentoring others with a focus on skill transfer.
• Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 core tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, DAX, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Platform, and Microsoft Fabric.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Power BI governance, deployment (workspaces, apps, RLS), and enterprise guardrails.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data extraction and collaboration with data owners.
