Description

You lead the development team responsible for securely hosting APIs in the cloud. You define the direction of the cloud-based API ecosystem, ensuring security and alignment with the overarching API strategy. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust solutions that drive innovation while safeguarding customer data.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in the support, maintenance, and enhancement of the API Gateway in the cloud environment.
• Own the end-to-end support process, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and resolution to ensure minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and security specialists to implement best practices for API Gateway management and security.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of the API Gateway infrastructure.
• Ensure adherence to Department and Technology standards, including documentation, risk regulations, and internal controls.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps and cloud-based API management.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining API Gateways.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and risk mitigation.
• Ability to lead teams, manage performance, and exercise staffing authority.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and security teams.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and internal control frameworks.
• Any Graduate degree required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience mentoring engineers and providing subject matter expertise on API technologies.
• Familiarity with driving strategic initiatives and innovation in API ecosystems.
