Description

You will support the engineering and validation of the FirstNet network by identifying and assessing security vulnerabilities within EPC and 5G environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security scan logs to identify vulnerabilities and document them in client tools.
• Assess vulnerability impact on end-to-end call flows and services to quantify risk and assign criticality.
• Collaborate with platform owners, OEMs, and security teams to communicate issues and ensure resolution.
• Propose and implement process improvements or automation to streamline vulnerability management.
• Follow up with platform teams to track the status of vulnerability resolutions.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of in-depth troubleshooting experience with EPC and 5G platforms.
• Detailed knowledge of EPC and 5G call flows.
• Proficiency with tcpdump, Wireshark, IRIS, and JDSU.
• Hands-on experience with virtual lab environments including Cisco Packet Tracer, Virtual Box, and GNS3.
• Experience using WinSCP and TeamViewer for remote access.
• Practical knowledge of SSH and Linux network troubleshooting.
• Experience troubleshooting VMware ESX performance issues and verifying DNS resolutions.
• Proficiency with any graduate level education.

Preferred Skills

• Automation experience using Python or Ansible.
• FirstNet experience, including eMBMS or MC PTT.
• Experience with Security Audit Compliance Tools and enhanced Korn Shell.
