Description

Manage and maintain the Teradata platform architecture, infrastructure, and migration strategies across on-premise and cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Teradata ecosystem components including Query Grid, DSA, and Data Mover.
• Troubleshoot and isolate infrastructure-level issues on large-scale Teradata platforms.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) calls involving infrastructure, platform engineering, and application support teams.
• Manage capacity review, projection, and planning for hybrid Teradata environments.
• Design and implement migration strategies for moving applications from on-premise to cloud environments.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Teradata administration and engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of Teradata Platform architecture and underlying hardware infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency with the Linux operating system.
• Expertise in writing and tuning complex SQL queries on large Teradata database systems.
• Experience with NetBackup, DSA, and Teradata Data Mover.
• Knowledge of storage array technologies and network infrastructure used in Teradata platforms.
• Ability to create, review, and optimize semantic data models across physical and virtual implementations.
• Familiarity with VMware technologies (vSphere, VSAN, Virtual networking) and Azure cloud.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with failover, backup, and recovery strategy implementation.
