Description

You will design and implement enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata, ETL, and ELT methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design technical solutions and map source systems to physical data models.
• Develop Teradata objects including views, macros, stored procedures, and join indexes.
• Perform SQL tuning and performance optimization by analyzing explain plans, data distribution among AMPs, and index usage.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from solution design and ETL estimation through SIT, UAT, and production implementation.
• Execute database administration tasks, including DDL conversions, object creation, and system administration.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data warehousing and Teradata architecture.
• Proven experience migrating legacy warehouses to Teradata.
• Expertise in SQL tuning and performance improvement activities.
• Hands-on experience with Teradata tools, TPT, and UNIX shell scripts.
• Proficiency in creating technical solution designs, mapping documents, and high-level design documentation.
• Experience with Physical Data Modeling (PDM) and tools like Erwin for DDL generation.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT process flow and semantic layer architecture.
• Experience managing unit testing, SIT, and UAT phases.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to conduct change and impact analysis and provide effort estimations.
