Description

You will design table structures and process data to support critical reporting requirements for the technology group.

Responsibilities

• Create table structures and implement efficient database designs.
• Write ETL programs to source data from upstream databases and various file formats including XML and CSV.
• Perform query optimization and performance tuning by analyzing explains and collecting statistics.
• Manage database objects, including capacity planning, space allocation, and user rights management.
• Translate requirements from Business Analysts into functional data processes with minimal guidance.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience working with Teradata.
• Expertise in Teradata query optimization and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Multiload and BTEQ.
• Proficiency in ETL development and data processing.
• Strong understanding of data architecture and database design.
• Ability to analyze explains and determine statistics requirements for tables.
• Experience handling diverse file formats such as XML and CSV.
• Proven ability to write complex queries and troubleshoot database issues.

Preferred Skills

• Strong documentation and communication skills.
