Description

We are looking for an experienced Teradata Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain data warehouse solutions using Teradata. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL and ETL skills, experience with large-scale data processing, and a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Teradata-based data warehouse solutions.
  • Write complex and optimized Teradata SQL queries, stored procedures, and macros.
  • Design and implement tables, views, indexes, partitions, and other database objects.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows for loading and transforming data.
  • Perform query optimization and troubleshoot Teradata performance issues.
  • Analyze execution plans and improve SQL/database performance.
  • Work with business analysts and data engineers to understand data requirements.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
  • Support production deployments and resolve data-related incidents.
  • Develop reusable and scalable data integration solutions.
  • Document technical specifications, data flows, and database processes.
  • Follow data quality, security, and development standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Teradata Database.
  • Advanced SQL programming skills.
  • Experience with Teradata Utilities such as BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPump, and FastExport.
  • Strong understanding of ETL and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling, including fact and dimension tables.
  • Knowledge of query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Good understanding of relational databases and data integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Ab Initio, or DataStage.
  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Teradata Vantage.
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting/programming languages.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to data migration and modernization projects.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
