Description

Manage the design, configuration, and maintenance of Teradata Vantage databases, owning the full lifecycle of database engines and physical data models.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, configure, and install databases to meet system requirements.
• Implement physical data models and execute moderately complex changes to existing databases.
• Manage database backup, recovery, capacity, and security plans.
• Install, configure, and upgrade database engines to new product releases.
• Monitor, tune, and optimize SQL performance for developers and customers.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Teradata Administration experience.
• Minimum 1 year of specific experience with Teradata Vantage Administration.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with database management tools.
• Ability to implement and document capacity and security plans.
• Investigate and resolve production database problems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience providing technical support to Services and Development groups.
