Description

Lead a team of Kubernetes Platform Developers to build and manage a container platform using GKE on GCP via Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Lead developers by providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and managing performance through quarterly and annual appraisals.
• Own the lifecycle of GKE addons, Anthos Service Mesh security tools, instrumentation, and observability.
• Manage sprint planning, retrospectives, and user story refinement to ensure timely feature delivery.
• Implement security measures, compliance standards, and monitoring/logging solutions for the GKE platform.
• Automate and manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform configurations using Terraform.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Expertise in Terraform for writing, testing, and deploying IaC configurations and state management.
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) core services.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes architecture, networking, storage, and scaling.
• Proficiency with GKE, Docker, and containerization technologies.
• Experience implementing Cloud Service Mesh and managing GKE Fleet.
• Strong understanding of microservices and cloud-native architecture.
• Practical experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Python scripting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing Anthos Service Mesh and platform observability tools.
