Description

You will own API and system test automation for banking and payment platforms, focusing on asynchronous and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain API automation suites using Java, RestAssured, and Postman.
• Validate JSON, XML, and ISO 20022 schemas for message integrity.
• Test asynchronous systems using Kafka and RabbitMQ for event-driven workflows.
• Execute end-to-end payment journey tests covering initiation through reconciliation.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in test automation, specifically with Java.
• Hands-on expertise with RestAssured, Postman, and BDD/Cucumber.
• Strong understanding of payment rails: SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, RTP, FedNow, and CHIPS.
• Proficiency in validating complex schemas (JSON, XML, ISO 20022).
• Experience testing asynchronous systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/K8s) and database validation (SQL, Mongo).
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent progressive experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with contract testing (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI) and schema-first approaches.
• Ability to build performance, soak, and resilience tests (chaos/failover).
