Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber.
• Develop and maintain API automation test suites using REST Assured, validating RESTful services, response codes, payloads, headers, and data.
• Create reusable and scalable automation frameworks using Java and industry-standard testing practices.
• Develop BDD test scenarios and step definitions using Cucumber and maintain feature files for functional and regression testing.
• Perform UI, API, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across applications.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, troubleshoot automation failures, and work closely with developers and QA teams to resolve issues.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing within DevOps environments.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for automation framework design, coding, version control, and test maintenance.
• Maintain test documentation, test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, QA engineers, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Java for test automation.
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and web UI automation.
• Hands-on experience with REST Assured for REST API automation and testing.
• Experience with TestNG for test execution, assertions, test suites, and reporting.
• Experience with Cucumber/BDD, including feature files, scenarios, step definitions, and Gherkin.
• Experience building or working with automation frameworks and reusable test components.
• Strong understanding of API, UI, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with Git or other version-control systems.

Good-to-Have / Secondary Skills

• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD environments.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-based testing environments.
• Experience integrating Selenium, REST Assured, TestNG, and Cucumber frameworks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with test reporting and automation execution tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software QA/test automation, with strong hands-on experience in Java-based automation.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional engineering team
