Description

You will own the implementation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks for web applications and APIs.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Write and execute automated test code in Java for web legacy apps and public APIs using xUnit BDD.
• Develop and execute functional integration and end-to-end test automation scripts to validate product functionality.
• Plan, carry out, and debug performance load and stress tests.
• Collaborate with development and quality engineers to build and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze requirements and translate development stories into actionable test automation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of QA or development experience in customer-facing projects.
• Proficiency in at least one modern object-oriented programming language, Java preferred.
• 1 year of experience writing automated test scripts in Python and/or Selenium WebDriver API.
• Strong understanding of REST, HTTP, SOAP, and JSON protocols.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu).
• Ability to set up and manage necessary test environments and test beds.
• Experience implementing test code within a continuous integration and delivery pipeline.
• Knowledge of XML, XSD, and WSDL standards.

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies such as TDD, BDD, and data-driven testing.
• Performance load and stress testing experience.
• Familiarity with container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
