Description

You will own Section 508 compliance and WCAG 2.1 A & AA accessibility testing for multiple development teams. You will coordinate testing activities, execute tasks within strict timeframes, and produce clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences. You will present findings to senior leadership and collaborate in executive-level meetings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize 508 compliance testing across diverse software projects.
• Write clear test report documentation tailored to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Execute testing tasks independently within restricted timeframes.
• Present accessibility findings and remediation ideas using business-friendly language.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and attend executive-level meetings.

Required Skills

• Deep knowledge of Section 508 compliance and WCAG 2.1 A & AA requirements.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools including ANDI, color contrast analyzers, and other WCAG validation tools.
• Proficiency with screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
• Experience with screen magnification software such as Fusion.
• Experience with dictation software such as Dragon.
• Knowledge of making documents accessible in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with senior leadership.
• 5+ years of professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• 3 years of specific experience working on Section 508 testing and remediation projects.
• Experience supporting a state government client.
