Description

You will own the testing functions within the data product release process, focusing on data validation and ETL integrity.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute test cases based on business requirement and ETL design documents.
• Test ETL processes, Data Warehouse components, and backend data-driven applications.
• Identify data submission or ETL transaction issues and collaborate with DBAs on remediation strategies.
• Validate data continuity and integrity for migrated ETL jobs and target database systems.
• Define and track quality assurance metrics including defects, test results, and test status.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience testing backend applications with a focus on complex SQL queries.
• Expertise in database testing and writing SQL scripts based on ETL mapping documents.
• Advanced SQL programming skills with experience querying terabyte-scale datasets.
• Experience with large-scale database systems including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Talend Data Fabric or IBM DataStage.
• Knowledge of Agile software development and testing in MS Azure cloud environments.
• Experience validating data extraction, transformation logic, and loading into target tables.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
