Description

You will design, specify, and implement programming for assembly and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain programming for new and existing assembly and test equipment.
• Provide immediate programming support for machine breakdowns and new project introductions.
• Manage internal projects to meet agreed timeframes and deliver regular progress reports.
• Improve programming methods and create process documentation for training purposes.
• Liaise with suppliers to define specifications and evaluate equipment and parts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in LabVIEW programming.
• Proficiency with National Instruments (NI) hardware.
• Experience with PLC hardware and software.
• HNC/HND in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Practical engineering background, ideally from an apprenticeship.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Omron PLC and HMI programming.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, or robotics.
