Description

You will apply human factors and ergonomics principles to improve the safety and performance of medical device and software systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert for project teams regarding Human Factors standards and regulatory requirements.
• Design, plan, and execute formative studies including heuristic evaluations, expert reviews, and use studies.
• Analyze use errors and their impacts to guide improvements in product and interface design.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to mitigate risk and ensure products meet clinician and patient needs.
• Prepare and present research findings, reports, and data visualizations to cross-functional stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Human Factors Engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and User Experience (UX) Design.
• Experience applying regulatory standards to medical device and software development.
• Ability to design, execute, and analyze qualitative and quantitative usability evaluations.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing in clinical environments.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing project tasks, issues, and vendor contacts during Design Validation and Summative Human Factors Validation.
