Low-Level System Debugging: Utilize computer architecture knowledge, Linux kernel debugging tools, system logs, and adb shell commands to inspect, isolate, and troubleshoot deep-seated OS and hardware/software integration defects.
Bug Lifecycle Execution: Enforce and execute the software bug lifecycle—logging, triaging, prioritizing, verifying fixes, and closing tickets—to ensure defects are systematically tracked and resolved.
Agile & Scrum Facilitation: Apply Scrum Master practices to facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, keeping the engineering team aligned and sprint deliverables on schedule.
Execute & Maintain Automation: Build, execute, and maintain test automation scripts and regression suites covering functional, integration, performance, and end-to-end scenarios across target environments.
Sprint Test Planning: Partner with developers, product managers, and data engineers during sprint planning to review requirements, identify edge cases, and author risk-based test plans early in the development lifecycle.
Root Cause Analysis: Perform thorough root cause analysis on production and pre-release failures, updating test suites with targeted coverage to prevent defect recurrence.
Release & Staged Rollout Validation: Test and validate deployment candidates in continuous delivery pipelines using feature flags and A/B frameworks to confirm stability prior to full rollout.
Metrics & Health Reporting: Track and report sprint-level quality metrics, defect trends, and release readiness signals to team stakeholders.
AI Tool Integration: Apply AI-assisted development tools to streamline test case generation, initial log triage, and test coverage gap identification within sprint workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience), plus 4+ years of hands-on software or system testing experience.
Computer Architecture: Core understanding of computer architecture fundamentals and low-level software/hardware interactions.
Linux Kernel & ADB Shell: Hands-on experience debugging Linux kernels, inspecting OS-level crash logs, and utilizing adb shell utilities for system configuration, log capture (logcat), and device testing.
Agile & Scrum Practices: Demonstrated experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, including facilitating sprint ceremonies and unblocking team workflows as a Scrum Master.
Bug Management: Experience enforcing defect workflows within tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) across the entire bug lifecycle from intake through verification.
Test Automation: Practical experience writing, running, and maintaining test automation frameworks for functional, integration, and regression testing.
Preferred Qualifications
Practical experience conducting low-level performance, load, or stress testing on embedded Linux or Android-based targets.
Background in embedded systems, mobile platform architectures (iOS/Android), or hardware-adjacent software testing.
Familiarity with using AI tools for prompt-based test generation, log parsing automation, or script optimization
