Description

You will manage the design, engineering, automation, and day-to-day operations of cryptographic infrastructure, including Windows/Linux servers, COTS appliances, and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own key management, data security, and database security functions.
• Perform hands-on application setup, configuration, and infrastructure management for encryption systems.
• Develop automated solutions for business problems, focusing on log rotation, data collection, and alerting.
• Provide escalation support for 1st and 2nd level support teams and participate in rotational on-call shifts.
• Interface with architects, partners, and vendors to influence product roadmaps and meet customer needs.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience.
• 4+ years of Unix/Linux Systems Administration, including OS hardening and tuning.
• 4+ years of scripting experience using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Shell.
• 2+ years of experience with encryption technologies and cryptography/key management.
• 2+ years of database experience with Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or Teradata.
• Experience with digital certificate management and implementing security patches or upgrades.
• Proficiency in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving for encryption infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Splunk and encryption key management policies.
• Experience with engineering support for Gemalto, SafeNet, Oracle MSSQL TDE, Thales Vormetric, or Oracle Key Vault.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Thales products: CTM, HSM, CTE, CADP, CAKM, and KMIP.
