Description

You will own the IP Transport domain as a subject matter expert, resolving high-level technical escalations and network outages.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting bridges for escalated incidents, coordinating with internal engineering teams and external vendors.
• Perform initial Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for service degradations and coordinate with vendors to finalize reports.
• Troubleshoot with transport fiber providers to ensure the fastest path to network restoration.
• Analyze hardware issues to authorize RMA processes and hardware replacements based on best practices.
• Develop performance monitoring metrics and identify automation opportunities to improve service uptime.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in the Transport domain supporting a major operator or vendor.
• Deep expertise in routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
• Hands-on experience with VRFs, VLANs, VRRP, LACP, MLAg, and HSRP.
• Proficiency with IPSec VPN, DNS, DHCP, NAT/SNAT, and IP Multicast.
• Working knowledge of TACACS, Rancid, GIT, SNMP, and ACLs.
• Experience with Cloud networking including VPC, Transit Gateway, NAT Gateway, and ALB/ELB.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow (SNOW) for incident management.
• Professional experience working with Cisco hardware and network service providers.

Preferred Skills

• CCNA or CCNP certification.
