Description

Support real-time distributed trading applications and manage technical incidents within an equities environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Own incidents from initial detection through root cause analysis and follow-up.
• Monitor and support real-time distributed application architectures using message-based protocols like FIX.
• Manage and query SQL and Sybase databases to support trading operations.
• Troubleshoot issues across UNIX and PC operating systems.
• Apply knowledge of equity instruments, order books, and order types to resolve business-level technical issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in application support or similar technical roles.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Perl, Python, or Shell.
• Strong understanding of SQL and Sybase databases.
• Experience working within UNIX and PC operating systems.
• Knowledge of real-time distributed architectures and FIX protocol.
• Solid understanding of equities, including instruments and order book mechanics.
• Proven incident management skills with a focus on root cause determination.
