Description

You will perform power system studies and lead network analysis for utilities and ISOs.

Responsibilities

• Lead network studies for utilities and ISOs.
• Interface with engineers to prepare computer-based models.
• Conduct feasibility, system impact, reactive compensation, stability, planning, short circuit, load flow, interconnection, and power factor correction studies.
• Engage in proposal writing and customer interactions to develop new opportunities.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead project workflows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years in transmission planning system studies.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with PSS/E.
• Ability to lead system impact studies.
• Familiarity with ERCOT interconnection processes.
• BSEE degree.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Skills

• MSEE or PhD.
• 5+ years with PSS/E.
• 7-10 years in transmission planning studies.
• PE registration or equivalent.
• Experience with PSLF, TARA, PSCAD, Aspen Oneliner, ETAP, or Power World.
• Coding and automation skills.
