You will perform power system studies and lead network analysis for utilities and ISOs.
Responsibilities
Lead network studies for utilities and ISOs.
Interface with engineers to prepare computer-based models.
Conduct feasibility, system impact, reactive compensation, stability, planning, short circuit, load flow, interconnection, and power factor correction studies.
Engage in proposal writing and customer interactions to develop new opportunities.
Mentor junior engineers and lead project workflows.
Required Skills
5+ years in transmission planning system studies.
3+ years of hands-on experience with PSS/E.
Ability to lead system impact studies.
Familiarity with ERCOT interconnection processes.
BSEE degree.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Skills
MSEE or PhD.
5+ years with PSS/E.
7-10 years in transmission planning studies.
PE registration or equivalent.
Experience with PSLF, TARA, PSCAD, Aspen Oneliner, ETAP, or Power World.
