Description

Lead network analysis and power system studies for utilities and ISOs. Own the full lifecycle of system impact and feasibility assessments while mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead network studies for utilities and ISOs, ensuring accurate modeling and analysis.
• Conduct feasibility, system impact, reactive compensation, stability, short circuit, load flow, and interconnection studies.
• Interface with engineers to prepare and validate computer-based models.
• Engage in proposal writing and customer interactions to develop new opportunities.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead project workflows from initiation to completion.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in transmission planning system studies.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with PSS/E.
• Proven ability to lead system impact studies independently.
• Familiarity with ERCOT interconnection processes.
• BSEE degree or equivalent technical background.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Skills

• MSEE or PhD in a relevant field.
• PE registration or equivalent professional licensure.
• Experience with coding and automation for study workflows.
